Guayaki Mission Accomplished
We did it!
We achieved our mission to steward and restore 200,000 acres of South American Atlantic rainforest by 2020. While our vision is aspirational, our mission has served as a specific, long-term goal. It has also served as a commitment to our customers that they will drive regeneration of the rainforest by consuming shade grown yerba mate.
Our mission also called for creating 1,000 living wage jobs by 2020. Althomeaningful work to thousands of individuals over the years.ugh this year we reached 85% of that goal with employees, harvesters and processors, Guayakí Yerba Mate has provided meaningful work to thousands of individuals over the years.
We are deeply grateful to our partners who have helped us achieve this milestone: loyal and new customers, yerba mate producers—smallholder farmers and Indigenous communities in Paraguay, Brazil and Argentina, our regenerative sugar supplier, processors and manufacturing partners. Every one of our team members who work to produce, distribute, administer, finance and market Guayakí Yerba Mate. Thank you for your hard work!
