8-Cup French Press

This is the perfect size for filling up a Nalgene water bottle. I play ultimate (frisbee) and always bring to Nalgenes to tournaments, one of water and one of mate. The only negative thing I have to say about this product is that mate will sometimes get stuck between the layers of the screen/filter and can be difficult to get out.

I made the switch from coffee to Yerba Mate about a year ago, but didn't try brewing it the french press method until I started reading the reviews here that convinced me to give it a try. The french press method is definitely worth exploring!! I didn't realize that the tea bags actually altered the taste of the yerba mate. The tea bags add a slight "paper" taste to the tea. As for the time spent making via the french press, it's about the same effort you might have done to make coffee at home. I make it first thing in the morning while making my lunch for work, and by the time I'm done, my tea is ready to drink. This french press is great for the office at this price, which is consistent with Amazon. Plus it's just convenient to buy direct from Guyanki along with the loose tea of your choice.

You either brew coffee or tea. this beautiful French press gets the jobs done in seconds. Give it a try I use it everyday. Plus u save money on buying filters for your coffee machine. OH yeah

I love french presses! I have been using this for about a month now and have vitually no complaints regarding the product. the only thing I would complain about would be that the mesh screen could be a bit more durable as some sediment seeps through, but that happens with gourds and bombillas. other than that, it works great, is easy to clean, got here quick, and is perfect for making 2 perfectly filled mugs or less if you want a more concentrated drink which is great for the morning.

High quality French Press. Great for making multiple cups of mate using the loose leaf yerba. If you make your mate exclusively this way, I recommend buying the large 5 lb. bag of yerba, as it's more of a "bang for your buck". Since my family drinks mate mainly from regular cups, and everyone does not use a bombilla, I love the French Press to make larger quantities of mate. For couples and families, this is very convenient, and fast. Great product, we couldn't live without it.

I really love this for brewing my yerba mate during the day. I also love that I can take it apart to clean out the filters should the mate leaves get stuck. It's also the right size if I want to brew one cup to take with me to class and the other to drink right after brewing.
