Coconut Water Mate  |   Ginger Mate Spritzer  |   Mate Lemonade  |   Mate Cran-Razz Cooler

* For a strong brew, use a strong batch of loose mate (4-6 tablespoons per cup of water), our Traditional Mate Concentrate, or steep 12 mate tea bags in 4 cups of hot (not boiling) water. Before removing tea bags, squeeze the tea bags to retain all of the liquid. Cool the mate concentrate in the refrigerator at least 3 hours and keep up to 2 weeks.

Coconut Water Mate

  • 1 cup brewed Traditional yerba mate
  • 1 /2 cup coconut water (fresh or can/tetra-pack)
   1. Brew the mate
   2. Add ice to cool, then add coconut water, and serve.

Ginger Mate Spritzer
Sweet and spicy

  • 1 1/3 cups traditional brewed yerba mate
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped crystallized ginger
  • 2 2/3 cups chilled ginger ale
  •  Ice cubes
1. Combine ginger and yerba mate while still hot and refrigerate for at least three hours.
2.  Strain and discard ginger. Pour yerba mate and ginger ale into ice filled glasses.

Mate Lemonade
Sweet and bright

  • 1 1/3 cups Traditional brewed yerba mate
  • 1 cup organic lemonade (or fresh lemon & sweetener of choice)
  • Ice cubes
1. Brew the mate
2. Add ice to cool, then add lemon juice, and serve.

Mate Cranberry Raspberry Cooler
Sweet, tart and lively

  • 1 cup brewed Traditional yerba mate
  • 2 tbsp honey or sugar
  •  Ice
  •  2 raspberries
  •  1/2 cup cranberry juice (if using unsweetened juice, add a bit more honey)
  • Lemon or Lime Zest
1. Brew the mate
2. Add honey, cranberry juice and stir until honey dissolves.
3. Add ice and raspberries.
4.  Garnish with citrus zest
