SPECIAL OPERATIONS CEBADOR:

A Cebador is someone who serves yerba mate. Guayaki’s team of adventurous, engaging and creative cebadores is expanding! We are looking for likeminded people to join us in building a great company. You may see us sharing the yerba mate experience at an event or on a campus near you.

We are currently looking for someone to join our events team on the East Coast. This cebador would travel throughout his or her territory to music festivals, universities, and lifestyle events. Responsible for research, planning, and execution, this cebador will support Come to Life (Guayaki) Productions as well as other Special Operations events. If this sounds like the life for you, please write to us.

PART TIME COUNTER CEBADOR(A):

The Guayaki Mate Café located in Sebastopol, CA, is looking for a part-time Counter Cebador to share mate, food, and beverages.

 

Experience in food service, point-of-sale transactions, and ability to work with minimal supervision a must.

Deli counter and Barista experience preferred.

 

Shifts are tentatively scheduled for morning through lunch time on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays each week but are flexible.

HACEDORS:
 
A Hacedor delivers refreshing and enlightening Guayaki brand Yerba Mate (“Yerba Mate”) or any other products The Yerba Mate Co. designates while perfecting the art of servicing and retaining customers and increasing the presence of The Yerba Mate Co. in the a specific region. 

Our aspiration is to deliver this amazing product by way of a fossil fuel free fleet of trucks and trikes.  We are looking for people who love to work hard, connect with the community, and are passionate about something…anything.

We're currently on the quest to find hacedors in: Boston, Austin, Arizona, and Central Valley, CA

Hacedors are responsible for managing full distribution of the product line in the assigned area. This includes product education, inventory management, delivery, warehousing, recruiting, and service of our clients. We’re excited to bring our products to new markets and we are looking for yerba mate-loving likeminded people to join us in building a stellar distribution operation.  

Hacedor Qualifications: two years of Direct Store Delivery (DSD) or related experience preferred. Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities,and workflow with enthusiasm. Must demonstrate a good attitude, be a team player, able to lift and/or move heavy weight every day, and be insurable to drive our company vehicles.

DIRECTOR OF QUALITY:
 
Are you an expert in Food Safety primarily in beverage manufacturing processes?
Have you demonstrated strategic leadership and knowledge in food safety trends, regulations, legislation and certification compliance?
Do you possess extensive experience and an advanced degree in beverage and/or food manufacturing processes and food safety?
Guayaki is seeking a proven leader to develop and maintain business relationships with regulatory agencies, oversee and ensure the highest standards in our new and existing products, provide support and oversight internally, with customers, 3rd party suppliers, and co-packers.
 
 
This position is full-time with health benefits, 401(k), paid time off, and holidays and is based in Sebastopol, CA.
 
Qualifications:
  • MS degree in Quality or Food Science preferred.
  • BS in Food Science, Microbiology or Engineering required.  Extensive quality and product specific experience with a Bachelor’s degree may substitute for a technical degree.
  • Minimum 15 years prior experience with beverage and/or food manufacturing processes, or QSR sector, specifically related to beverage/food safety matters, corporate regulatory work and audit procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs required.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, multi-tasking and presentations skills.
  • Proficiency communicating in English required; Spanish and/or Portuguese is beneficial.
  • Must be able to travel as needed.

CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER:

Join the passionate, adventurous, engaging, and creative team of Cebadores at Guayaki! A Cebador is someone who serves mate and creates community and we are looking for likeminded people to join us in building a great company.

As the Customer Service Manager, you will lead our small but mighty Customer Service team and extend our community and values both among our internal Operations team and beyond to the Customers we serve. The team oversees direct customer interactions, sales to distributor partners and corresponding logistics, management of wholesale direct accounts, as well as maintaining a professional relationship with the retail side of distribution for the company.

RESPONSIBLITIES: You will be responsible for the supervision, training, evaluation, and leadership of Customer Service team members; will act as the Project Manager for departmental projects, specifically, departmental systems optimization, reporting, and pricing.

REQUIREMENTS: Customer Service Management experience, ideally in consumer products industry. Demonstrated ability to supervise, evaluate, and motivate team members. Excellent customer service and professional interpersonal skills. Strong organizational, systems thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
