My review

By: Wm. Ferrer of SLC, Utah

Everything ran smoothly when I made the order, and it did arrive as scheduled(date given). And, the quality's always been there. Thank you. I do like talking to human beings myself, so I'd like to see the same deals available over the phone as on the website. How 'bout it? Thanks again, William Ferrer

Pure Mate!

By: Kevin of CA

Having gone through a 5lb. bag of Traditional Guayaki Yerba Mate, and now half way through the San Mateo. I would like to say that this kind of mate is very pure, and tastes very earthy. Unlike some other brands of mate this does not have a smoky flavor. I prefer the San Mateo to the Traditional because to me the taste is very smooth and enjoyable. Now, which one provides the most energy I would have to say they are about the same, with a slight lean towards the San Mateo. Overall a high quality, pure earthy mate. I Highly recommend you try this. Cheers!

My first experience with Yerba Mate.

By: Dan of Medford Wisconsin

When stopping at a local bait shop I decided I wanted a juice drink. I picked one that said it would provide an energy boost. I read the ingredient list and saw Yerba Mate listed. I didn't know what that was so I googled it and found out and found your company. It sounded so good from all the reviews that I decided to order some. I purchased the 5 pound bag of San Mateo based on the descriptions and reviews. It came in just 5 days. I eagerly tried it. It must be an acquired taste. I don't really like most teas and it is kind of like a tea. I am trying ways to make it quickly and easily. I put some in a tea ball and steeped it for a while. I put some through a coffee press too. I didn't feel euphoric or seriously energized but I will keep at it. I did find several friends who would like some as a gift.

San Mateo Addict

By: Kate Lynch of New York

I have been "hooked" on this particular organic air-dried Guayaki Yerba Mate for years--and am healthy and energized as a result. I started with the traditional (in a french press) but like the milder San Mateo best and consume massive amounts of this stuff. BTW, I never drink any other brand of yerba mate--they are not the same. Guayaki is a wonderful company--great products, great service.

Great way to start the day!

By: Anonymous of Cincinnati, OH

I've tried a variety of other organic yerba mate's and this is by far the best tasting! It doesn't have as strong an earthy taste as the others and is very energizing. Tastes great w/ some coconut oil, stevia, and coconut milk. I drink it every day. The price for the 5# bag is great also for my budget. I'd highly recommend this product.

SAN MATEO MATE AND GREEN TEA

By: PAUL F. SCHIPPNICK of LYNN HAVEN

I enjoy San Mateo mate every day. I also enjoy green tea every day too. Every so often I also drink African red tea and also various herbal teas, also ginseng. The most important for me is San Mateo mate by Guayaki. It has a delightful taste and is energizing. I feel like I am in on a secret, I can't understand why more other people don't get hip to it. They're just missing out. For me, it's irreplaceable.

It's a drink for the gods as far as athletics goes. Qualified for the Modern Pentathlon World Cup circuit today, starting with a gourd.
