Of the six commonly used stimulants in the world, yerba mate, coffee, tea, kola nut, cocoa and guarana, yerba mate, with naturally occurring caffeine, triumphs as the most balanced, delivering both energy and nutrition.
We have videos of how to prepare mate!

Place yerba mate in the French press. Add hot water and steep for 3-10 minutes. We recommend using 1-2 tbsp of loose mate per cup. First, moisten the mate with cool water to protect the nutrients and flavor, then ADD HOT (NOT BOILING) WATER.
Place yerba mate in filter basket, then brew. We recommend using 1-2 tbsp of loose mate per cup. First, moisten the mate with cool water to protect the nutrients and flavor, then run the machine as usual.
Yerba mate brews well in most espresso makers. Place 1-2 tbsp of loose mate in a double espresso portafilter. Pull a long shot for a total of 4 oz. Great for making mate lattés.
Mate Latte Recipe:
Brew an 8 oz. cup of Guayakí Yerba Mate. Add sweetener (sugar, honey, or maple syrup) to taste and 4 oz. of steamed milk of choice. Top off with milk foam. Makes a 12 oz. latté.
Yerba mate is traditionally prepared in a gourd and shared among a circle of friends. Welcome the moments of community born of your own mate circle.
I've been drinking Yerba Matte for about 12 years now and have not found any better more nourishing, great tasting tea than Guayaki Yerba Matte. It's great hot, cold and anything in between. I just love it and could not be happier having it in my life.
The other companies marketing this product don't even come close to Guayaki. I've tried as many as I know about and so far yours is the very best!
Thank you so much for the quality you bring! Viva, Guayaki Yerba Matte and all the people involved in making it such a quality product. Thank You, Nancy

I'm an espresso drinker that was introduced to Yerba Mate by a friend who is a HUGE Yerba Fan.
I brew my yerba in a French Press - normally ad a little honey. I sometimes add cream to the mix. All of the flavors are great. I don't get the big caffeine KICK I normally do from an Espresso, however the yerba caffeine lasts longer.
I enjoy it several times per week!

Love the traditional yerba mate. Perfect every time!
Excellent! I've had this every day for over two years now since stopping the morning coffee habit...now one of the best parts of waking up is this Mate in my cup!! :)
We love to order in bulk so we choose the 5 pound bag and always look for the sale. The one thing what we wish is that we could compost the 5 pound bag like we could the 1 pound bag. Any future thought on that?
I simply love this product! It awakens you in more way than one. Guayaki is setting a beautiful example that businesses do not have to be destructive, degenerative or simply 'sustainable'. Regenerating the Lungs of the Earth - the forests, and the people through fair trade practices is one of the most potent nutrients in this delicious brew.
Guayaki Yerba Mate is the best. I love it so much that I buy it in 5 pound bags, just for me.
My daughter got turned on to Yerba Mate when she attended the Eastman School of Music in Rochester NY. I got her 5 pounds for Christmas. The ecology-oriented practices of the company was also a plus for her. She is now a musician in Brooklyn and every Christmas I send her another 5 pound bag. Her friends have started purchasing the product too ( I believe locally in Brooklyn). My daughter insists I order online direct from the company. I don't drink as much as she does becasue I am "addicted" on Tim Horton's coffee(not proud of that, just a fact). She and I both are into the gourd and bombilla method of imbibing and occasionally share a phone call while we are each enjoying this product.
THE MATE IS GOOD, BUT TWIGGIE
