Place yerba mate in the French press. Add hot water and steep for 3-10 minutes. We recommend using 1-2 tbsp of loose mate per cup. First, moisten the mate with cool water to protect the nutrients and flavor, then ADD HOT (NOT BOILING) WATER.

Yerba mate is traditionally prepared in a gourd and shared among a circle of friends. Welcome the moments of community born of your own mate circle.
The best yerba mate! It's really gentle on my stomach and I appreciate the packaging as well. I used to order the regular one, tried also the biodynamic one, but this is my favorite because is the gentlest on my stomach. Will definitely order again.

I enjoy San Mateo mate every day. I also enjoy green tea every day too. Every so often I also drink African red tea and also various herbal teas, also ginseng. The most important for me is San Mateo mate by Guayaki. It has a delightful taste and is energizing. I feel like I am in on a secret, I can't understand why more other people don't get hip to it. They're just missing out. For me, it's irreplaceable.
It's a drink for the gods as far as athletics goes. Qualified for the Modern Pentathlon World Cup circuit today, starting with a gourd.
Great product! great service!
Soy Argentina y compro este producto regularmente.
I'm a longtime drinker of mate, starting with a gourd but normally using a tea press. I've primarily enjoyed the original blend but also tried several others and the San Mateo is my favorite. It's a little brighter like an earthy green tea. I prefer to let it steep only a very short time, a minute or less, so it's not too strong and I can enjoy several cups.
